My experience in the Junior League of Greensboro has been rewarding for me both personally and professionally. I have met so many of my closest friends through the League and I have learned and developed skills through my placements that I use in my professional career. I believe in the work that we do in the community and in training our volunteers to make a difference in the community. One of the ways that we are able to fulfill our mission is through the financial support of local businesses and organizations.

In my professional career I have sought out opportunities from my employer that would allow for support of the Junior League of Greensboro. Some of the ways my employer has been able to support the mission of the JLG is through volunteer grants in support of my volunteer hours, sponsorship of JLG events, a grant directly supporting our community programming and an employee match of funds I have contributed to the League.

I would like to encourage members of our League to take some time to research what opportunities may be available through your employer. You may be surprised of the opportunities you find! Being a volunteer in our community is such a huge benefit to an employer as the skills you learn as a volunteer can be transferred to the workplace.
