Junior League of Greensboro Names Pam Ring Recipient of Kathleen Price Bryan Award


GREENSBORO, NCEach year the Junior League of Greensboro awards the Kathleen Price Bryan Award to a deserving member who demonstrates tremendous dedication to both the JLG and to the community at large. This award is given in memory and to honor Kathleen Price Bryan, founder of the Junior League of Greensboro in 1926. The recipient exemplifies the standards set by Mrs. Bryan in the generous giving of herself to our community. The 2007-2008 recipient is Pam Ring.

Ring joined the JLG in 1995 and has held countless positions including Vice President of Finance, Bargain Box Chair, Cookbook Committee and Photographer. She is especially known for her dedication and commitment to the Bargain Box, where she collected donations, set up window displays, interviewed staff, and filled in for sick staff members. Along with her dedication to the JLG, Ring has also played an important role in our community. After graduating from Leadership Greensboro she continued to serve on their planning committee. Ring played an integral part in the Greensboro Medical Society Fundraiser by procuring sponsors and collecting donations for auction items. For many years, she also served as Volunteer Chair and Auction Chair for the American Heart Association Gala.

Celebrating its 82nd year, the Junior League of Greensboro, NC Inc. will contribute over $85,000 to area programs and place over 250 Junior League volunteers serving in excess of 15,000 volunteer hours to help meet community needs. The Junior League of Greensboro is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
